Dowser
An eastern girl came to a big western city, and she was surprised by these modern buildings because these buildings are different from Eastern architecture.
The girl likes colorful and eastern traditional fashion elements, so the main fabric in the collection is the golden silk fabric. This overlap shape forms the architecture.
The definition of dower is a type of divination attempted to find groundwater or buried materials without using scientific apparatus. The girl in this story is like the "dowser," she only followers her feelings to seek a new world; she does not know where is the destination. Still, she understands she cannot abandon her original essence, like these traditional fashion elements in this collection.
I traveled to Thailand and very interested in architecture. Mainly the temple has a bright gold border and triangular shape. Compare with western architecture, and I think these elements are unique and inspired me to take them into my design. In my personality, I love these attractive and vivid colors. Dowser is my first collection in SCAD and also is the start of exploring my personality.
